Longma moved to Withering City to be with his mother. She and himself lived in a colony with his father but after he died, the colony, who had already snubbed the two, outright rejected them. Longma went on a long travel of discovery and eventually found his place with his mother, working with her with taking care of the violent weather that tries to overcome the city (that comes from over the ocean).

His specialty deals with deep sea diving. He looks for lost treasure as well as gems and riches of the natural Earth. As a Pegasus, his flight allows him to walk on water but his Merpony side allows him to swim and hold his breath for a long time. He can reach deep into the depths of the oceans for short amount of times - he has to fly high and then dive hard to reach it though.
