In desperation, Merriment ran away from home and eventually found her way to the wilderness that was known later on as the Everfree Forest (then at that time much more bigger and scarier) where she disappeared. Time passed as generations blossomed and the world of Equestria eventually found balance by the two sisters and the elements of harmony.
Merriment emerged from the forest, with no memories of her past, only of the time in the forest, and has become a sort of feral acting pony. She fears other ponies to no end, though less with the Earth ponies due to that they had no magic or flight to use against herself.
She was quickly noted to have no cutie mark and a broken horn. She knows that she traded her cutie mark for the horn but doesn't remember how it broke or if it came broken. She contains extremely weak magic but under great duress, can create powerful spells.
